Piper Private Equity : Rollover

Challenge

 Piper private Equity believe in brands and the asset value of the brand reputation and good will.  However, they had not yet established an audit model to utilise pre-aquisition, during investment or pre-exit.

They invited Brand Essence to devise a brand assesment model usineg Roll-over as a case study.

 

Approach

We shared a classic audit and stratgeic development model which could be applied in stages in accordance with available data, sector knowledge and brand / operational status.

 

OUr audit on Rollover highlighted unexploited potential to create a unique consumer brand and engage specifically with the 'Youth'. The company was heavily focused upon B2B marketing, whilst Brand essence proposed that a consumer pull strategy could prove to be an active catalyst to market growth and distribution.

 

Achievement

Brand Audit and brand positioning proposals.

Marketing proposal to phase in branding over 3 years.

 

Piper are utilising the plans as part of the pre-pack sale document to raise the value of the brand asset but have decided not to invest in implementation given the 3 year ROI.
